Location
This 3km-long hotel island is located in the south of the Addu Atoll. Its fine white sandy beach towards the lagoon impresses with palms and contrasts the rougher sea on the island’s opposite side. The noble boutique-style resort idyllically fits in the island’s vegetation of 17.000 coco palms, massive banyan trees, 45 plant species and three freshwater lagoons.

The 142 villas are placed all over the island. They are either embedded in the resort’s lush vegetation or built on stilts over the sea. 5 restaurants and bars serve fine food: “Javvu” offers international cuisine with a touch of the Mediterranean – especially steaks and seafood. It is Villingilis’s meeting point for nighthawks. “Dr. Ali’s” is divided into three living rooms which represent the cultures and cuisines of the Indian Ocean, the South China Sea and the Arabian Gulf. Offering mesmerising sea views, “Fashala Lounge” serves breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails in the evening. “Manzaru Bar” is the place to be for guests looking for relaxation as it provides chill-out music and marvellous views on the lagoon. Situated amidst the island, “Endheri Pool Bar” offers relaxation as well. Furthermore, the bar’s team organises private arrangements such as romantic evenings on a sandbank or jungle dinners.

Sports and Wellness
Sporty guests can discover the island by bike. Villingili’s big sports centre offers surfing, snorkelling, water skiing, kayaking, sailing, deep sea fishing and yacht trips in the evening sun. Divers will be delighted by the house reef and 25 more diving spots in the Addu Atoll, which are frequented by mantas the whole year. A special highlight is the 140m-long shipwreck of the British Loyalty, it is aground in 33 m depth and reached in half an hour by boat. Along the shoreline snorkelers will be pleased by colourful corals and exotic fish. A state-of-the-art fitness centre with tennis courts is also available. CHI, the resort’s spa, is built as a secluded village at the highest point of the island and offers soothing treatments and massages from China and the Himalaya.
