Location
The desert near Dubai forms the flamboyant surrounding for a relaxing stay at Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. Amidst a unique desert landscape and about 45 min by car from Dubai lies this exclusive resort in Bedouin style – far away from any rush. The resort guarantees serenity and seclusion in a luxurious way. Surrounded by indigenous flora and fauna, guests may have the chance to watch the rare Arabian Oryx. This animal was thought to be extinct but was resettled by means of a governmental project. The international airport of Dubai is about 50 km away.
Rooms
The Arabian style suites are very spacious and provide a combined living and sleeping area, TV, DVD, minibar, telescope, painting equipment, WLAN internet, air-conditioning, bath with separate shower, terrace and pool. The mentioned suite size includes the terrace.
Gastronomy
“Al Diwaan” serves Arabian and Mediterranean delicacies as well as Indian, Japanese and Asian dishes. Guests may have their meal on Al Diwaan’s veranda or in their private suite terraces. Furthermore, a lounge and a bar are available. Having an Arabian dessert dinner with music and shisha definitely is a special highlight.

Sports and Wellness
The hotel provides a personal guest service which organises guided desert safaris, hikes, animal watching, desert picnics, sundowners, falconry, archery and camel/horse rides. Two activities are for free per person / per day. Besides the small suite pools, there is a bigger and temperature-controlled hotel pool. “Timeless Spa” provides a fitness centre, sauna, vapour bath, whirlpool, massages and various other treatments for guests looking for recreation.

Important information
Unfortunately the resort does not accept bookings for children less than 12 years unless the whole resort is booked. Children above the age of 12 are accommodated in their own suite. Personal vehicles are not permitted in the resort.
