Location
This luxurious resort of Banyan Tree stretches for 100 hectare and is situated amidst the impressive desert landscape of Wadi Khadeja, just 20 minutes away from Ras Al Khaimah. The resort perfectly fits into the nature reserve’s magnificent surroundings and the pristine vegetation was preserved. Thus, an oasis of calm and remoteness was created. Hidden observation points are lined by local Ghaf Trees. Guests may watch wild animals unnoticed from there or else will be astonished by the biodiversity of the birds on a guided tour.

Two restaurants and two bars offer various specialties. While “Al Waha” serves international and Arabian high-class cuisine, Banyan Tree’s signature restaurant “Saffron” serves excellent Thai and South Asian delicacies for gourmets. “Saffron Tower” is exceptional as guests dine in privacy beneath the starlit sky. Exclusive dinners at campfire on a sand dune are organised on request.

Sports and Wellness
The activity centre’s stuff take care of guests in a personal manner, provide information about flora and fauna, organise guided tours, archery, falconry, horse and camel rides as well as bike tours (all charged). The hotel-owned beach club (shuttle for free) with restaurant, bar, spa and spa offers snorkelling, water skiing, wakeboarding, sailing and diving as well as boat trips. Banyan Tree SPA comprises ten treatment rooms on 3000m2 for hydrotherapies as well as several treatments, hammam and vitality pool. While sports enthusiasts can train at the fitness centre, golfers play at Al Hamra Golf Course. This 18-hole golf course is about 20 minutes away by car.
